 Our company in Cape Coral was established in 1976 by my father, John Awis. When he retired, my brother Jimmy took over the business from 1991 until 2011.  Jimmy passed away December 4th, 2011 from cancer. My husband, Todd, and I  wanted to continue our family legacy as they were the wishes of my brother and father. My father was thrilled when we re-opened on April 9, 2012.  We were thrilled that he was able to see our re-opening as my father passed away on September 20, 2012.  He was 85 years old.  He originally opened Awis Auto Service in East Detroit, MI, in 1962.  His business was right across the driveway of our home, so he was always near while we were growing up.  Now, our children and grandchildren, Ashlyn Marie and Mason James, visit us as we are close to them too!!
